Cassian Andor's story in the film 'Rogue One' is quite short. In the end [SPOILER!], he died with Jyn Erso on the planet Scarif while transmitting the Death Star plan to the Rebel Alliance. After Cassian Andor and Jyn Erso died, then the story of 'Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope' began.
Diego Luna admits that he can't wait to play Cassian Andor. He was happy to have had the opportunity to explore the role of the captain.

Until now, not much information has been leaked by Disney about the Cassian Andor series. What is clear, the series will air on the Disney+ streaming platform.
Prior to the Cassian Andor story, Disney and Lucasfilm had already worked on a spin-off series as well as a live action 'Star Wars', namely 'The Mandalorian'. The series will tell the story of a bounty hunter from the planet Mandalore and will present as many as 10 episodes with a script written by Jon Favreau, the director of the film 'Iron Man'.
But until now, it is not known when the series will be aired. It is not yet known who the actor behind the bounty hunter mask is.
In addition to 'Star Wars', Disney also announced that they are working on a series about Loki from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The plan, Tom Hiddleston will return to play Loki.
